Objectives:


1 - Name and write the chemical formulas for simple ionic and molecular compounds, including those that contain the polyatomic ions: ammonium, carbonate, hydroxide, nitrate, phosphate, and sulfate, (4.6) using the Stock system.

 

2 - Name and write the chemical formulas for common laboratory acids.

           

3 - List the diatomic elements:  H2, O2, F2, Br2, I2, N2, Cl2

 

4 - Use the mole concept to determine number of particles and molar mass for elements and compounds. (5.3)
